MSM's What's in your pocket?

Money Supermarket have asked me to take part in another challenge this time the challenge is called What’s in my pocket?! They say –“We’ve all experienced the momentary thrill of finding money in our pockets that we didn’t know was there. We’re looking to give UK’s most creative bloggers £20 to spend and share this feeling.”

I was given £20 pounds and told to imagine that I’d just found it in my pocket which is a pretty good feeling. I could spend the £20 on anything at all that I fancied.

I always think that surprise money, found or given as a gift always makes you consider what you spend it on a little more carefully. For instance I hate it when birthday/Christmas money ends up going on something mundane, like the train to work or my phone bill. I know I wanted to spend this money on something special. I thought of lots of ideas, maybe a meal out with my boyfriend or surprising a friend with a trip to the cinema. As much as I like these things Tom and I eat out far more than is healthy as it is and I didn’t want to spoil just one friend.

I decided to head in to town with Tom for a walk along the beach. It was a sunny but cold day and it was great to be out of the house, things are quite stressful at the moment and a day doing very little was something I really fancied. It was on the beach that I decided what to spend my money on. I was talking to Tom about my friends, predominantly the ones I don’t see very often but who still play a big part in my life and with valentines coming up I decided to send them a bit of love in the form of the cheesiest and cheekiest cards I could find. I also picked up a few extra cards for friends who I do see a lot but would really appreciate it. And one for my mum from the cats, because she needs cheering up to! I bought stamps before Tom and I headed off to the pub so I could write them. I like to think that this way I will be putting a smile on quite a few people’s faces this week! Obviously this didn’t cost the full £20, The cards and stamps came to £7 which left £13 pounds to fritter away on myself, guilt free.

I headed to Primark and it didn’t take me long at all I spotted some gorgeous dip dye jeans and knew that I had to have them, luckily they cost exactly £13. I wore them to take my driving theory test in a few days later and I passed! So now they are my lucky jeans as well!

What would you have spent the £20 on? What do you think of how I spent the £20?
