strawberry sponge curlers

I’d seen these a few times on various blogs but I only decided to give them a go when they popped up on Ebay a few weeks ago. I was hunting for cheap Ebay jewellery at the time. I ordered 2 packs from this seller and they arrived 2 weeks later which is pretty decent to say they came all the way from China and over that huge jubilee weekend.

The instructions aren’t very useful but its pretty easy to work out what to do and there are tons of youtube video to help you if you get stuck. I put them in dry hair just before bed. They were so much comfier to sleep in than the normal bendy rollers that I use, and even though they didn’t feel very secure none of them fell out.
In the morning I removed them and my hair was lovely and wave with soft curls at the ends.
Overall I’m impressed. I’m always trying to use less heat on my hair so this is a great way of getting body and movement without using tongs. The strawberries did drop during the night so the curls started about a third of the way down my hair rather than from the root but I like this look.

The necklace I'm wearing is also from the same seller- I've seen similar ones in Topshop for £10+

I brushed he curls to soften them in to waves and they lasted all day...and the next until I washed my hair.
Have you tried these or got any ebay bargains recently?
PS. My mum had a great birthday and my cold seems to be getting better! Also I'm now on instagram : danielleblackpool

  2. They look so cute!
Much better than the old-style foam curlers I used to use; but they did have the plastic clip-over piece, so they didn't drop out. We have to suffer for beauty!!!
Belated birthday greetings to your lovely mum; bet you treated her to something special?
So pleased your cold is better. Don't know about you, but I feel so daft if I get a cold in the summer. It's just not right, is it?
    Have a great week,
    Z xx

  13. Oh gosh! These are adorable! I've never seen them before. But best of all, I really like the look you achieved with them. I should try something like this too because I need to stop with all the heat styling I'm doing.
