As part of my GIVEAWAY I’ve been asking what you would like to see more of on my blog. I’m always interested to find out what people would like to see more of. One thing that people have asked for is nail art.
I paint my nails about twice a week. Leopard print is a favourite because its quick and easy and always looks decent. I also love a bit of Konad stamping for a sleek professional look and soon I’m going to be trying some Halloween nails; I’m thinking pumpkins and cobwebs maybe some blood and I will defiantly be giving my Halloween themed MB plate a try.
All the spooky-ness aside this week I tried floral nails using Models own Beths Blue and Lilys pink as the base.
Next a blobbed ( I hate that word) the alternate colour on the nail in a roughly round- ish shape. For the leaves I used the green nail art pen I got as part of a super cheap bundle I got on ebay which I blogged about HERE
Then I used a lighter shade to highlight petals, Sounds a lot fancier than it is, it really means I do a sort of spiral over the blob, again using the Ebay nail art pens.
I love this effect and I hope showing you in stages encourages you to give it a go. I think I liked the colours I use on THIS POST a little bit more. what do you think? Will you be giving floral nail art a go?
Ps.
Yesterday was I pretty bad day by all accounts full of technology fails, cancelled plans and scary lessons. My confidence in my work is slowly dwindling honestly this MA is a hundred times harder than I ever anticipated. However my day was significantly brightened by a comment from the lovely laura of
Bentleybicycles who had found the orginal knitting pattern for my charity shop jumper. ( you can see the pattern
HERE and my jumper
HERE.) The pattern is from the 80’s so if the jumper was made around that time it could be older than me. Then this morning I received a parcel from
ROSIE full of goodies I won in her blog giveaway. So a HUGE thank you to Rosie for making my friday fabulous.
