If you follow me on Twitter you might know that for the past few days I’ve been at my boyfriend’s house because his parents are way.
So far we have been camping, shopping, to Chester zoo and the Manchester police museum.
The police museum was great fun and I really recommend it as something fun and free to do in Manchester. We got to have a look round the exhibits and play dress up in police uniforms (tweet me for proof - haha). There was a special afternoon talk with the rapid response team so we got to ask lots of questions and hold real riot shields and batons. I got to sit in a real police van with the sirens going! I learnt so much about the history of the station and I chose a book in the gift shop as part of my birthday present. I love crime and history and I’m hoping to go back with a pen and paper, I think I could write some interesting fiction inspired by the archives.
Chester zoo was a great and tiring day we set out at half seven, half dressed, no makeup. By the time we got to Chester the sky looked dull and I made a detour to Primark to buy and emergency umbrella but we made it to the zoo in one piece and I even managed to half heartedly sort my face out on the bus.The sun cam out an di never needed the umbrella and even public transport seeemed to be on our side! My camera has been on low battery for the past 3 days and I have forgotten my charger so I only took a few pictures here are my favourite and a dodgy picture of myself at the end of the day posing with a £40 puppet I feel in love with (but resisted buying.)
Plans for the next few days involve feeding ducks, a carvery, a BBQ a tripin to Wigan and a lot of reading in the garden! What have you been up to?
xx

ReplyDeleteHasn't it been gorgeous so far this weekend? I've been busy baking but caught a couple of hours out in the sun whilst I was finishing up a library book.
How fun! That police museum really sounds interesting! I'd love to get a look at something like that. Enjoy!
